Hi I’m John Killingworth, I have just finished the 2012 Antarctic Ice Marathon coming 11th in 5:12.41 hrs – it’s billed as the world’s toughest challenge, taking place in the icy wastes of Antarctica, at 80 degrees south.

To date, I have raised £61,000 for Breast Cancer Care and a big thank you to all my friends, family, sponsors (Odlo, Pret E Voir and Innov8) and the charity for their ongoing support.

Currently on my way home for a hot bath and a big relax!!

Breast Cancer Care is a charity that is very close to my heart as my own mother died tragically young from breast cancer. I have ran many marathons from New York to Berlin but this will be my greatest challenge yet, both mentally and physically. It’s a long trip and the conditions will be arduous but I am excited and can’t wait to get running.

Personal donations and pledges are still very welcome – just click the link or go to my site at www.justgiving.com/johnkillingworth.
